Think vendors, food, community, and LOTS of dogs. Bring your own pup and come spend the day with us!

Each nonprofit gets ONE dog to represent them.
That dog will compete for votes during the event, and the winner will be crowned King or Queen of the Day — taking home a $500 prize for their nonprofit.

🐾💛 Meet Radar Love 💛🐾
For 14 long years, Radar Love had only ever known one family. Over the years, he was passed from one person to another, each one trying, each one loving him in their own way, but each one struggling with their own life challenges.
In his last years, his world became very dark. He didn’t know when food would come. He didn’t know what was coming next.
For a dog like him, that kind of life is especially hard. He was made for movement, for routine, for connection. Instead, he had uncertainty and isolation.
There were times he almost didn’t make it. His eyes were dim, he didn't have much strength left...
But love is powerful, even when it comes from unexpected places.
People who didn’t know him started to notice. They saw him getting worse and they refused to ignore it. They kept reaching out. They kept trying. They didn’t give up on him.
It took a village to change his story.
We also recognize the reality of mental health. This is not a story about blame. It is a story about how hard life can be and how, sometimes, love means trusting someone else to step in. We are so grateful that trust was given to us.
Now he is safe. He is cared for. He is learning what love really feels like when it is steady, when it is present, when it doesn’t disappear.

Join the Future Hope Lions Club of Springfield MO for a unique dining experience.
WHAT:
We are honored to be joining the Springfield Lions Club for their annual Dining in the Dark experience.
This unique evening invites guests to share a meal while blindfolded, offering a small glimpse into what it’s like to navigate dining without sight.
We are especially grateful the event wil benefit The Dog Stays
